Sand casting is the oldest known casting process, dating back to before 1000 BC Process control, material selection, tolerance capability, ability to produce fine parts, wide size range – of course, these have all come a long way progress. But metal fundamentals were relatively unchanged. Create a cavity in the shape of your desired part and pour molten metal into it.

Products manufactured using sand casting employ techniques that can produce shaped parts of nearly any design, including very large parts and parts with internal channels.
